The Artificial Intelligence and Robotic (AIR) Lab at West Chester University is a collaborative community of faculty and students exploring how AI can make a positive impact. Our Research
The Artificial Intelligence and Robotic (AIR) Lab at West Chester University explores how AI can transform education, computing, and human productivity. We explore the integration of local LLM agents, container-based infrastructures, and other AI-enabled systems into cohesive frameworks with a strong focus on reproducibility, accessibility, and student engagement. By combining technical innovation with pedagogical design, we develop open, scalable, AI-enabled frameworks that empower learners and researchers.
Our Projects
The AIR Lab puts research ideas into action through concrete initiatives and experimental systems. Current efforts include the evaluation of local LLM systems, the development of agentic AI frameworks to support automated grading and tutoring systems, ASL-to-English translation, and the investigation of AI-centric curriculum redesign.
Our Team
